A little about my path…

I am Josephine Sheppard, the founder of Living Soulfully — a space devoted to helping people reconnect with their own inner wisdom and live with greater clarity, presence, and compassion.

I serve as a guide, bringing my training, lived experience, and intuitive insight to support your return to the wisdom that has always been within you, while honoring your soul as the final authority in your life.

My work weaves together transpersonal development, somatic practices, and contemporary shamanism in a way that is grounded, trauma-informed, and accessible. I support individuals in exploring their patterns, softening old belief structures, healing the nervous system, and remembering the deeper truth of who they are.

Professional & Lived Foundations
My path has never been linear.
It has unfolded through decades of service in health, wellness, caregiving, and human support roles — from nursing and holistic bodywork to case management, training support coordinators, group facilitation, and spiritual counseling.

My background includes:

-
Ph.D. in Religious Counseling
-
Trauma-Informed Coach Certification
-
Natural Health Consultant & Diploma in Fitness and Nutrition
-
Massage Therapy & Reflexology
-
Reiki Master-Teacher
-
Contemporary Shamanic Practitioner (with cross-cultural influences rooted in Filipino and Spanish folk-healing traditions)
-
Ordained Nondenominational Minister through Universal Life Church (since 2019)
These trainings and experiences form the scaffolding of my work, but they do not define the essence of it. They simply give shape to the ways I serve, listen, and guide.

Spiritual & Somatic Orientation
My approach is influenced by a lifetime of introspection, spiritual inquiry, and several spiritually transformative experiences — including near-death experiences, dreams, visions, and moments of profound insight.

Shamanic journeying, energy work, somatic awareness, and contemplative practices are woven into the way I hold space. But I do not claim to be the healer for anyone; rather, I support others in becoming conscious participants in their own healing, truth-seeking, and transformation.

A Bridge Between Worlds
My heritage and lived experiences have taught me that healing happens in the meeting place between Spirit and body. Between insight and integration. Between presence and choice.

My work reflects an Omnist respect for all sincere spiritual paths and honors wisdom found in:

-
contemporary shamanism
-
transpersonal psychology
-
somatic and nervous-system regulation
-
reflective self-mastery
-
intuitive guidance
-
nature-based spirituality
-
ancestral folk-healing traditions
Every sincere path is sacred.
Every person carries wisdom.
My role is simply to help you hear it more clearly.

My Principles & Values
I hold these truths at the center of my work and life:

-
Clarity comes from presence.
-
Healing honors both Spirit and body.
-
Self-mastery is an ongoing practice.
-
Compassion and boundaries can coexist.
-
No single path holds superiority over another.
-
Your soul is your ultimate guide.
And above all:

“Let your heart guide your hand, and may your hand and your words cause no harm.”
“Treat others as you would want to be treated.”
Writing & Teaching
Writing has always been woven into my path. I’ve authored articles, journals, and books — including:

-
HSP – Empathic and Empowered: Expanding My Perspective (2018)
-
Ongoing Soul Reflection Guides
-
And forthcoming professional and spiritual resources
My writing reflects the same intention behind all my work:
To help people reconnect with themselves in a way that feels gentle, honest, and grounded.
